Hair Guarantee

We provide an automatic guarantee with our hair when you purchase the full aftercare range at the same time as your hair, and if your hair was fitted by a qualified professional. You must contact us within 180 days of purchase to report the fault or defect.

Aftercare

We can only open a returns ticket for anyone who has followed the aftercare advice in full. This includes the following:

  • Wash the hair once or twice a week. This allows your natural oils to keep your hair healthy, as well as reducing the amount of heat used when styling. Always use the Artisan aftercare range.
  • Wear a silk bonnet or use a silk pillowcase to stop any friction occurring, which can lead to hair breakage.
  • It is not advisable to swim in chlorinated water or salt water as this can cause damage.
  • Brush the hair before wetting, to ensure it’s tangle-free before you wash. When brushing, use one hand to secure the base, while you gentle brush, starting from the ends working up to the roots. Use a wild boar brush or another hair extension brush.
  • Only wash your hair under the shower. The water must flow in the same direction as your hair. To shampoo & condition, work vertically using downward smoothing motions to form a lather.
  • Do not colour or perm. Avoid using colour pigmented shampoos such as silver shampoo as this can penetrate the hair and quickly cause discoloration.
  • Protect hair from UV Rays where possible by covering and avoid contact with sunscreen residue as both can cause discoloration or fading.
  • You must attend maintenance appointments for re-application. This is so that your technician can keep your hair and scalp in good condition.
  • Love your beautiful hair. We searched globally to select the best quality hair and brought it to you with love ♡!

In rare cases that all aftercare has been followed and there is found to be a problem with the hair, you must complete the following steps:

  • Contact customer support at info@artisanhairacademy.com using the words ‘Report a problem’ as your subject.
  • Upload your name and order number.
  • Upload images of the hair.
  • Explain the details of the hair problem you are experiencing.
  • This will be reviewed within 48 hours of receiving your request.
  • You will be asked to remove and return all of the hair to the address included within the email.

All of our hair is protected with batch numbers so that we can identify the source as it is linked to each sale.

Once received, we send your hair to our factory with the details of the problem and the batch number. The hair goes through an investigative process to identify the problem.

If their is found to be a manufacturers fault, we will, at our discretion, offer to repair, replace or refund the hair.

Refunds are made to the same card used for the purchase and include the cost of postage, or by credit note.

We cannot accept damages to hair caused by misuse. This includes: discoloration, tangling, shedding, caused by Chlorine, hard water, toning, any colouring, colour enhancing products, attempts to modify/fix, excessive heat, excessive sunlight exposure, extreme tension, incorrect application, and sunscreen product residue.

Highest quality of raw material

We pay at or above market value for all of our unprocessed human hair from those choosing to donate their hair of their own free will. The hair is braided and then cut from the donor. It is kept in the braid to ensure the hair remains together and is not mixed with other hair.

When the hair arrives at our factory, the hair is checked to ensure that it is still braided, this helps us ensure the quality, and that the cuticles are all still aligned. Quality inspections are carried out on each braid singularly to ensure the virgin hair is clean, strong, virgin, and meets our strict quality specifications so that only the best braids are selected to be used to produce our hair extensions.

Quality Control at every process

Throughout the sourcing, selection, processing and production process, we carry out several quality control measures to ensure that the hair meets our high standards and specifications.

These quality control inspections check every detail of the hair. This includes washing the hair several times with abrasive products, conducting friction tests on the hair, microscopic tests of the hair, as well as many other tests.

Inspection again before shipping

As a final step before leaving our production facilities, our quality control inspectors will randomly check a large proportion of the packaged hair, looking at different application methods, colours, lengths, weight, taking a record of every quality point. Our hair is batch numbered to ensure we can trace it in case there is ever a problem.

Final step quality control upon arrival at out facilities

Once the hair arrives, it is meticulously checked again to ensure that it meets our strict Quality and Standards, and that all previous quality checks have been thoroughly completed so not to allow any to slip through the net.

Hair sourcing

We are committed to human rights in the supply chain and ensure fair trade for all involved from those selling their hair, to those who source the hair, and then to workers who produce our hair extensions. We pay at an above market value for our unprocessed human hair.

YES!! You have your own dedicated tutor on hand to guide you throughout your course. You will complete short online quizzes to check your understanding and submit detailed photographs / videos of your practical techniques so that your tutor can assess your work and give feedback where necessary.

Your tutor will demonstrate practical techniques through video links which you can practice together at your own pace in real time, exactly like a private lesson.

We understand everyone learns differently and has different abilities. Your tutor will ensure you can complete your course with the appropriate help.

Before you are enrolled onto a course you will have an introduction with your tutor via zoom. This helps to identify areas where you may need additional support or reasonable adjustments to be made.

Throughout the course, you will have access to your tutors support via phone, Teams, email and access to the learner’s hub which is a secure forum to exchange learning experiences with other learners also completing a training programme.

Due to the way we prepare you for assessment and help you throughout the process, we guarantee to go above and beyond to help you to pass.

Some learners may find it difficult to remember every detail when attending 1 or 2-day short courses at a venue, which is why it is valuable to be able to access your complete course within the portal at any time. No precious time is wasted on refresher training.

We provide continues professional support after you qualify for assistance and mentoring, along with access to the graduate’s hub, which is a forum where you can exchange knowledge and ideas with other graduates.

The courses are designed with you in mind; therefore, they are self-paced! You can dip in and out at your leisure. However, we provided guidance on expected timeframes:

Hair extension courses are expected to take a maximum of 12 hours to complete.

Hair Replacement courses are expected to take a maximum of 30 hours to complete.

Level 2 Hair Professional Apprenticeship is a 24 month programme, however it is sometimes possible to complete sooner depending on the learner.

We are an inclusive training provider and take time to recognise additional learner needs prior to enrolment. We make reasonable adjustments and adaptations where possible, such as options to change the screen colour for dyslexic learners and fonts that are recognised to be the best font to support learning.

We understand that ‘life happens’ and therefore we monitor learner progress and offer help and support throughout. We allow no more than 6 months for Endorsed courses to be completed and 24 months for the Level 2 Regulated Hair Professional Apprenticeships. However, extensions to these timeframes can be requested for exceptional circumstances.
